Snowy days...

In the last 24 hours we have gotten about 18 inches of snow. I have to say that it doesn't bother me much this year. Last year I hated every flake that fell to the ground. This was because for most of the winter I was incapacitated by a broken leg. I was forced to walk my wife struggle to keep our drive and sidewalks cleared. Tonight with happiness I donned my outside gear and spent time knee deep in snow. I suppose it took having a broken leg to make me appreciate the feeling of having two able feet on the ground. I cannot tell you how tough it is to hobble around in the snow with a cast to your knee and on crutches. I will gladly shovel all the snow that comes our way this year simply because I can do it.
