A good dog.

We have never had a well behaved dog until now. We have had a couple of dogs that we tried to rescue from the pound but they did not turn out to be good pets for our family. Each dog I believe had been very abused and no amount of training could get them to be a true "family" dog. Each dog was very partial to a particular member of our family and hostile to the rest. We took a long break from having a dog and waited to buy a puppy from an independent and reputable breeder. The dog we have now is a gentle and sweet girl. She is a miniature Schnauzer. There isn't a day that she doesn't bring a smile to our faces with her silly looks and antics. I have to laugh at her when it comes to the great outdoors because she is so incredibly particular. She absolutely hates the rain but loves the snow. She doesn't mind diving in an icy cold stream but don't let it rain on her pretty head. Being drenched by the snow isn't a problem and she hasn't met a snowball she didn't like. I know there are good dogs to be found at the pound but it just hasn't been our experience. I am glad to finally have a dog that our entire family can enjoy and not need to fear.
