Sick and stubborn.

Our youngest son has had a cold for the last week. He rarely catches a cold but when he does it is generally a pretty bad experience. His cold started with a fever in the middle of the night. He kept waking up crying because he couldn't breath through his nose. Since then his nose has ran so much that his upper lip is red and raw. I want desperately to find some cream for face issues like his but I know he won't let me use any on him. He is very sensitive to having creams or medicine put on his body. We have tried sneaking some chap stick on his lips while he is sleeping and he always seems to wake up and start crying. I believe the child is the lightest sleeper I have ever known. I am hoping that his symptoms start to subside soon because we could all use a good night's sleep. Thankfully whatever it is that he has doesn't seem to be spreading to the rest of our family. This is usually the case at this time of year.
