Flowerless garden...

We have numerous gardening project going on at our house. It seems like we are always planting something or getting some area of the yard ready to plant. Our yard is a sharp contrast to that of our neighbor. Her yard is entirely covered in flowers whereas ours in entirely covered in food producing plants and trees. We don't have a single flower among our plants. This isn't to say my wife doesn't love flowers. She will be the first to tell you that durring Valentine's Day they rock but she doesn't want to grow. Gardening space in our yard is at a premium. She would rather give a grape vine room to grow and produce food for our family that use that space growing roses. We look at our yard as having the best of both worlds because we only need to divert our eyes next door to look at beautiful flowers.
