Good finds...

Today was a thrifty day for us. We received our weekly copy of the penny saver and my wife immediately spied some bargains that we needed to hop on taking advantage of. The first one was bushels of pie pumpkins for $13.00! She had picked up two pie pumpkins at our local farmers market for $5.00. This seemed like a good price until we saw the deal on bushels of pumpkins. We love pumpkin flavored stuff and she has been itchy to put away our own pumpkin puree instead of buying it at the store. While out getting the pumpkins we by chance ran into the Goodwill store in town. She went there with the hopes of finding a juice extractor. Surprisingly she found a brand new looking Braun juice extractor for $3.99! We plugged it in at the store to test it to see if it actually turned on and it did. After cleaning it at home we tried juicing a carrot and it worked perfectly. This machine retailed for well over one hundred dollars new. Our youngest son found a new looking Buzz Light Year toy and our older son got brand new book for $.99 which was a steal for both items. All in all a good day!
