It is a funny thing how life changes when you no longer have credit card debt hanging over your head. In the time since we have paid off our credit card debt there have been dramatic changes to our spending habits. We no longer buy anything without thinking about whether we really need it and investing the price. We often wait to make purchases and try to find used items, in decent shape, before buying new ones. There were times in our life when we seriously considered taking out cash advances to make ends meet. It is really different being on the other side of that mountain of debt. I may not have new things but I don't have the worries I once had and that is a really great feeling.
