Heredity?

When I was a child I was plagued by eczema. I had it really bad on areas like my feet. My mother still tells stories about having to carry me because my feet were in such rough shape. I really believe that my youngest son has inherited this problem from me. His little arms are covered in it right now. Thankfully there are more eczema treatments available today than there were when I was a child. What my son has appears to be nowhere near as bad as I had as a child but it still bothers me. I suppose there are worse genetic things to inherit but I really don't wish even this one on him. I thought the heat of summer might be making it worse but the cool weather hasn't improved it at all.
