Fixing broken stuff is a bit of a hobby of mine. It is one that my wife doesn't always appreciate because it means that I often bring home "junk". If I can't make something work I get rid of it. I am by no means one of those people who hangs onto stuff that is irreparable. There are a few projects that taunt me because I know I can fix them but accomplishing that ends up being a challenge. One of my current projects is repair the motor on a table saw from the 1940s. I have tried several different things and believe I am inching closer to having it up and running. I believe secretly that my wife doesn't want me to get this particular item running because she fears for my fingers.
