Time to chop the wood.
When it comes to camping you can never have too much fire wood. You never know when your camp stove will quit working or the heater will give out. Having a big supply of wood means fires late into the night and good times. The only thing I hate is actually chopping the wood for the fire. I will admit that cutting and chopping firewood for a living would be a great way to workout but I wouldn't want the job. I will gladly keep my desk job and worry about needing a weight loss diet if it means I don't have to handle an ax any more than necessary. The area where we are camping this year has an endless supply of downed trees making it silly to buy fire wood. Can you guess what I am going to be spending a good deal of time doing this weekend while we are out camping? At least I will have those late night fires to look forward to.
