Progress at last.
For as long as I can remember I have taken my older son fishing. For an equally long time he has refused to allow any use of live bait in the process of fishing. This means that for this entire time we have never caught a single fish. Over the summer he attended a camp in which fishing was one of the activities. The person in charge of the camp made no bones about the fact that in order to fish you had to use live bait. My son was forced to fish with worms on his hook. The result of this was that he caught two fish in the same day for the very first time. Since then he has admitted that we need to use live bait. Tonight we are going fishing together for the first time with a ray of hope that we might actually catch a fish. He of course refuses to put the worm on the hook himself but has consented to using the bait as long as I put it on the hook for him.
