Shack in the woods.
My wife wants a cabin in the woods. The reality is that a cabin is not really in our budget. We are fortunate in that we have access to land at no cost. Her parents own about one hundred acres of land and would let us use it to build on. I have to admit it would be fun to have an atv or a boat because this is the perfect area for these activities. We have a camper but it doesn't give you the same sense of security that a cabin would in such a remote area. We are debating buying a storage shed and converting it to a small cabin. We could later build a larger camp as our finances would allow. I am on the fence about the entire idea because I have to admit that I love visiting campgrounds and meeting new people. There would be no one to meet or get to know in the middle of a desolate forest. I am not completely sure our children would enjoy the experience in quite the same way that they do in a public campground. This is something that we are going to have to keep talking about for a while.
