Enough green.

Over the last year my wife has implemented several changes to our way of life. She started by air drying our clothes. Our light is all CFL bulbs and we routinely turn things off to conserve energy. I think this was begun as a way to save money on our electric bill. Then she began using reusable shopping bags. Over the months we have begun composting, ordered organic beef, and begun making our food from scratch. In the last month she has learned how to make cheese, yogurt, and granola. A couple of nights ago we roasted coffee beans for the first time. Our laundry soap is now "soap nuts". I have a tin lunch box instead of brown bags. We will be growing a garden and canning our own food in the fall. There are supplies on the shelf for making homemade soap. I jumped on the bandwagon and ordered a conical fermeter to make our own wine. I think my maximum point of green has been hit and I am ready to slow things down because today she received a package of shitake mushroom spawn in the mail. We apparently are going to be growing mushrooms. I suppose I shouldn't complain because this does all save a great deal of money and is healthy but still...
