Helpless.

Have you ever known someone who wanted to be helpless at everything? We are in a situation where we frequently have to interact with a family member who is like this. It is so weird to me to listen to her talk because she apparently works very hard at being unable to do anything. What makes her troubling is the fact that she is in fact an able bodied person and is not ailing, old, or frail. She however wants people to think her inept at anything she attempts and even those things that she doesn't. She doesn't drive, cook, do laundry, lift things, work, or well the list is endless. I cannot imagine living with someone who took no responsibility for anything in our home or marriage. It is mind boggling. My wife is such an independent person that I fail to see what a man would see in a women who was literally dependent on them for everything.
