So much writing!

Our children received an abundance of gifts this Christmas. They are given so many toys each year that it is almost ridiculous. We don't tend to buy them much because we know that they will be given so much by other people in their lives. One thing we feel is very important for them to do each year after Christmas is writing a note thanking everyone for the gifts they receive. They are expected to write personalized note cards to each person who gave them a gift. We feel that they need to realize that the gifts they are given are something people do out of kindness and not something they are required to do. Writing a note is a good way to reinforce this in their mind's and teach them good manners.
