They are home.

For her 40th birthday my wife asked me for a kind of crazy thing. She asked me for chickens. After considering her arguments I elected to give her what she wanted and we have been raising 4 baby chicks for the last month. Today I finally completed their coop and we moved them in a couple of hours ago. I have to say that I am more than a little bit proud of the coop that I built. The coop is built into a corner of our garage and has 3 levels to it. The chickens have everything a chicken could want in a coop and more. In fact I would venture to say that they are indeed pampered. It should be interesting to see how their demeanor changes not that they have more space to exert their independence. They were starting to wear on each other in the tight confines of their brooder.
