Drives me crazy...

I spent the entire day in a training session at work. These sessions seem unbearably long and we have them every single year at this time. It kills me because our staff hasn't changed and the topic discussed is exactly the same as it was every year prior to this one. It almost seems like my employer is determined to spend money having us do nothing so that they can later complain about decreased productivity. It would seem that if you have attended a training every year for so many consecutive years that it would go without saying that you might have a handle on the subject matter. I wish they would just give us a test the day before the training and if we ace the test we can opt out of the training. I love having time to do nothing as much as the next guy but not when I end up being behind at work later as a result.
