Not the handy man.
A few weeks ago I helped the lady who moved in across the street fix something. Since that point she has not left us alone. I am now regretting my decision. I am the type of guy who tries to do what is right and if I can do something to help I will. In this situation I believe she will take advantage of that whenever possible. She is now flagging my wife down and asking her for rides or when I might be home. She is also pestering us to buy things on our porch or whatnot. The other day she caught me in McDonald's and got me to buy a ticket for a fundraiser she was selling. Luckily I had the foresight to put someone's name and phone number on the ticket other than my own. It occurred to me as I was making the purchase that giving her my full name and phone number would be opening a door I didn't want opened because I know she would be calling us all the time rather than dropping. I have no idea how to make her stop other than to be blunt and tell her than I cannot or rather we cannot be her handyman and taxi.
