She wants it gone.

My wife has asked me to do something this weekend that sounds a little silly. She wants me to take out our dishwasher. I am not being asked to replace it with a newer model but just to remove it entirely. The dishwasher works fine but uses a ton of water and electricity. She would prefer to wash dishes by hand and would rather have the storage space that the dishwasher takes up. So today I am going to be removing it and putting shelves in where it was. I am hoping that this isn't something she regrets but I can appreciate her determination to cut our water and electric bills. I also think she believes that our children need to learn how to do things themselves and not rely on "stuff" to do these tasks for them. So the microwave will now go on a shelf where the dishwasher once lived and we will be washing our dishes by hand.
