Ticks...

Last week we were on spring break from cyber school. We spent just about every day doing something outside. The weather was finally warm and sunny and we took full advantage of it. I never considered that the weather was warm enough for ticks to be out and about because it seemed as though the snow had just finally melted. Two nights ago I was drying my youngest son off after a shower and found a tick embedded in his arm. I promptly called the doctor first thing in the morning and my son is now on antibiotics for 10 days as a precaution. Our area is ripe with ticks that carry Lyme disease. My hope is now that this medicine works and we have no further need to worry.
