School projects...

I read an interesting article in our local newspaper this week. The article was about one of our local private schools doing a school project that involved them making instruments. They are in the process of making a violin, dulcimer, and a ukelele from kits. I think this is a really awesome school project. I know the instruments are likely not the quality of a , but I am sure they are adequate for the needs of a school music program. I kind of wish we were a more musical family because I would try to incorporate the same project into our home school program. Maybe making an instrument would motivate them to try to learn to play one.
