I am at long last taking some vacation time! Taking time off at my office is a huge hassle. It isn't that we can't take vacation but it makes keeping up with our work load nearly impossible. We are given daily progress reports and reviews as to where we stand in dealing with our case loads. If we aren't making progress we are notified by our supervisors. These evaluations do not take into account whether we have recently taken vacation or not. I have known people to cancel their vacations rather than deal with getting behind. It is easier to just go to work rather than with the frustration of being behind.
