First badge...

My son has been working on a number of merit badges for Boy Scouts over the course of the year. The thing is that he is working on so many that he has yet to complete one. Last night he completed his first merit badge and had it signed off by his counselor. The badge he earned was the "inventing" merit badge. What he invented was a new type of apple picker. His invention is actually pretty ingenious. I would love to see him keep working on it and improve upon the design as he grows older. Even if he doesn't I am just glad to see him see something through till the end. Finishing what you start is a characteristic we have been trying to instill in him.
