A day to myself.

Tomorrow is an annual event in my life. Aside from the fact that it is my birthday it is also a day I devote to myself. Each year on my birthday I take the day off from work and spend it doing whatever I like. I don't ask for presents or big parties but prefer to simply have time to myself. Some years I go golfing and some years I just spend time laying in bed. This year I have decided that I will take myself out metal detecting. I have a very nice metal detector and just never seem to find the time to use it. My wife loves the fact that I don't expect a bunch of hoopla for my birthday and never questions my use of vacation time solely on myself. It makes for a good day for all of us.
