Office party.

Yesterday was our annual office Christmas party. This is always an interesting event because we only have one hour out of the day for it to take place. We end of cramming 25 people in our break room which is also a sort of work area. We end up sharing a big meal together while exchanging gifts. I never understand why we have the type of food that we have at this party. For some reason they elect to have a sit down style dinner in a space without enough room for everyone to sit down at a table. People end up sitting or standing with food in their hands or on their laps. It is pretty hard to eat a ham dinner, on a paper plate, while standing up. I got lucky and happened to be able to set my plate on the color laserjet 3500 that is housed in the room. I really think they should have finger food or sandwiches despite the fact that the meal is always very good. Many people end up taking the meal back to their desks just to have a place to sit down. This defeats the point of having a party because we all work in cubicles.
