Cuts are coming.

The budget in Pennsylvania has been a huge issue for many people in my town. The state is one of the main employers in our area. Now that the budget has finally been settled, the news is reporting that numerous people will be laid off right before the holidays. Our area is so small that I know this will force many to people to look elsewhere for employment. It wouldn't surprise me if there was tough competition for jobs in philly as a result of the budget fallout. I know the state couldn't keep funding all the programs and cuts are necessary but I can't help but feel terrible for anyone impacted by this. There is never a good time to loose a job but at the holidays makes it all seem particularly cruel.
