Choosing carefully...
Having children is something that is a never ending journey of amazement. My youngest son can turn virtually anything into an adventure. The child observes the world in way that I find amazing. He notices small details in things that adults would overlook. The child makes everything a process of analysis out of almost every daily task. It doesn't matter if he is choosing what clothes to wear or what cookie to take from a plate, he makes a conscious decision to weigh his choices. I wish I had that type of willpower when it came to cookies because I wouldn't find myself in need of weight loss pills that work. His taste is so discriminating that he decides which cookie to take based on the color, size, and shape. He will go one step further and consider how many chocolate chips there appear to be in each cookie. If his young mind had any awareness of calories I am quite sure he would add that into his analysis.
