A break from it all.

This weekend I am doing nothing. You heard that right - NOTHING! I spent last weekend camping with the family. It was a really good time but it is also a great deal of work. Between setting up the campsite and keeping things going like the fire it isn't especially restful. I might feel differently if we went camping for longer than a weekend. It almost seems like by the time you set up camp it is time to tear everything down. I would almost rather just go camping a couple of times a year for a longer period of time than several short trips. We always seem to need a few days to recover when we come home which is evidence to me that I am not the only one who gets worn out from our trips. Camping is one of those things we love when we are there but it always makes us appreciate the comforts of home when we get there. My own bed and a hot shower are the things I always miss the most. This weekend I will have both!
