Gone in the blink of an eye.
We are the type of people who would rather give something away than sell it. This applies to most stuff within reason. For several weeks we have been putting out on the curb unwanted items. It is always interesting to see how quickly people will pick up the strangest things if they have a "free" sign on them. Today, we put our dishwasher on the curb. We took bets on how long it would be before someone came and took it. Actually, we both thought it would be a pretty long time because the washer is about 22 years old and not in the prettiest of shape. It works and I guess that is all that matters. In fact we actually had a plan for hauling it to Goodwill at the end of the day if no one took it. The dishwasher sat out there for no more than 10 minutes before one of the neighbors from the apartment building across the street came and took it. I have no idea what they will do with it but more power to them for taking it. Maybe they have a non-functional built in dishwasher that needs replaced. At least I don't have to take it away myself and it went to a good home.
