Almost done!
A couple of months ago we started renovating an old camp on my in-laws property. It was in need of a new roof. It was filled ceiling to floor with stuff that they had acquired over the years. The first thing we had to do was empty the interior to assess the water damage inside. Once it was empty we were able to take down the ceiling and found the roof to be pretty sound. We added a new layer of roofing paper, and the camp immediately dried out. Now we will be focusing on cleaning the interior and painting it. I also need to build a new porch for the camp as the old one is rotted. Once all that is done we will move in some stuff and begin to use the camp. I feel that over time we can work slowly to make it just how we want it to be. It will be really nice to know we have structurally sound place to stay if we had to in an emergency and also just for fun.
