Finally...

My doctor referred me for a test/procedure in early November. I have been trying since that time to get this test scheduled. For whatever reason my local hospital kept screwing around and telling me one thing after another as to why it was taking so long to schedule. Finally I called my doctor's office and requested the procedure be scheduled elsewhere. I was scheduled almost immediately for the test.Within an hour of scheduling at a different hospital my local hospital called to set an appointment for me. I told them I would stick with the other hospital because I have to wonder if they really know what they are doing.
