Building things...

My older son is always coming up with one plan after another to build various things. Most recently he wanted to build a catapult. You might find the idea of building a catapult boring and be more interested in having me type about yoga clothes here instead. We constructed a small catapult and have been trying to get it to launch things like footballs. So far it only launches the football about 6 feet which is far shorter than we had hoped for. It has been a fun project to work on with him and I think it is a great way to learn about science in a very hands on way. I know my neighbors must get a charge out of watching us trying to launch things in the back yard.
