Growing up...

I just got back from sorting recycling with my son's Boy Scout troop. It is kind of funny to spend time with a bunch of twelve year old boys. Listening to the things that are important to them now makes me try to imagine them as adults. I can almost imagine them as grown men standing around talking about the new cigar store at the mall or the set of golf clubs they are thinking about buying. Right now the things that matter to them right now are what video games are coming out or what cell phones they want to get.  Life right now is simple for them and in some respects it will remain that way as they grow older. We might get older but we still interact with one another in much the same way.
