Day in the sun...

As evening settles in I am beginning to feel the effects of my day in the sun. I can already tell that my skin is just not used to this type of heat and that I am pretty sunburned. It felt good to be outside in the sunshine but I am quite sure I am going to regret not using sunscreen. I am going to just ignore the burning sensation I am having all about my body and be thankful for the sunshine. We have been having such a run of wet weather that I will take the sun when I can get it even if it means a sunburn here and there. It won't be long before we are stuck inside with mountains of snow again waiting for the mailman to bring us. Winter seems so unbelievably long here that summer often seems so fleeting. A day in the sun is so much better than a day in the snow in my book.
