Sad Future
As wrestling has evolved into the bumpfest it has turned into, the chances of getting really hurt have gone up exponentially. Taking a bump in the 60's and 70's meant landing on your back badly from a suplex or twisting an ankle from coming off the ropes bad or botching a leapfrog. As the demand for more impact moves increases you are more likely to see more stupidity in the ring and in a business that does not supply health insurance for any off their guys. It is sad that an individual who works like the rest of us may not be able to go to the doctor to find out something simple like the best cholesterol treatment if that is the issue they are dealing with. Although, these days, if that were the only issue they were dealing with, I would take that over rehabbing a broken neck.
