A good chair shot

I have been a wrestling fan for thirty years and have seen tons of things go away, change, and then come back again but the one constant has been the chair shot to the head. Now one would think that a steel chair could do a lot of damage to ones skull but done correctly you hardly even feel it. Now as the intent of the chair shot has always stayed the same the frequency and severity of the shot have subtly changed. It is now common to see a chair shot on a WWE show maybe once or twice between RAW and Smackdown. ECW made it famous with Tommy Dreamers "Chair shot heard 'round the world" on Raven in the cage. CZW and IWA make the Chair shot look almost tame in their Death matches so these guys add more umph to it by winding up from the cheap seats and making sure that the recipient is either knocked out, busted open, gets five more shots of equal intensity, or all thee. Youtube has some lovely chair shot compilations from some of the Indy companies that would make even the best of us cringe and end up with our own nasty migraine. Abdullah tried to do the chair thing but found it hard to hide a steel chair in his trunks. The ref wasn't buying it that it was just a hernia.
